History and Description:
Over 96 acres of sweeping vistas, encompassing lakes and woodlands, display gardens and the renowned Japanese Garden of tranquility and Sensory Garden.

MBG is a member of the American Public Gardens Association. The APGA is committed to increasing the knowledge of public garden professionals so they may better serve the communities in which they live and work.

The Memphis Botanic Garden is located in east Memphis in Audubon Park (green shading). It is due south of Oak Court Mall (red) and southeast of the University of Memphis (purple). It is bounded by Southern Avenue on the north, Park Avenue on the south, Goodlett Road on the west and Perkins Road on the east.

From Interstate 240, take exit 20-B (Getwell Road N. exit) approximately 2.5 miles to Park Avenue. Turn right and proceed to the second traffic light. Turn left onto Cherry Road. The Garden is on your right.

Admission and Hours:

April 3 - October 31
Monday - Saturday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

November 1 - April 2
Monday - Saturday, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
