On the Hana coast, along the far eastern shores of the Hawaiian island of Maui, Kahanu Garden has 472 acres which encompass plant collections from the Pacific Islands, concentrating on plants of value to the people of Polynesia, Micronesia, and Melanesia. The Garden has the largest known collection of breadfruit cultivars.
